Alisha: This is Must-Know Afrikaans Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 9. In this lesson you'll learn how to talk about food.
Alisha: Afrikaans people really like to come together to have a barbecue, and they have all sorts of interesting ways of talking about food.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Alisha: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:

Dewan: potjiekos

Dewan: moerkoffie
Alisha: This literally means "hit coffee." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "strong filter coffee."
